About the fast

Fasting is abstaining from certain or all foods for a period of time for the purpose of drawing near to God.

In Matthew 6, Jesus said: “When you fast…” These three words are an assumption that His followers would partake in the spiritual discipline of fasting. At Christian Life, we believe fasting is essential to spiritual development & warfare.

This type of fast is abstaining from all meats, sweets, breads & dairy (plus only drinking water).

Please note: if you have unique health concerns, we recommend talking to your doctor before fasting. You can also alter the fast to fit your specific health needs.

Fasting is a means of drawing near to God, spiritual development & breakthrough. Your specific purpose is personal. You may focus on family needs, marriage, direction, clarity, or simply to come closer to the Lord.
