Best Week Ever!

Summer Camp is about students experiencing the power that is the presence of God, discovering the truth found in His Word and the joy found in Christ-centered community! We believe that it does not matter how difficult of a year it has been for someone, God wants to meet us all where we are! We cannot change our memories, but we can choose our moments!

Between worship, prayer time, small groups, team rec games, competitions, free time, pool time, lake activities and more… your student will experience the best week of summer at camp!

FAQ

1. Realize you are a sinner
"No one is good–not even one..." Romans 3:10

2. Recognize Jesus died for you
"
But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." Romans 5:8

3. Repent of your sins
"Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed." Acts 3:19

4. Receive Jesus into your life
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in..." Revelation 3:20

To begin walking with Jesus, simply pray this prayer with all your heart:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I choose to turn from my sins and turn to You. Please come into my heart and forgive me of all the wrong things I've done. I confess You as my personal God and Savior. Thank you for saving me! Amen."

1. Through God's Word
"All Scripture is God breathed..." 2 Timothy 3:16

2. Through other people

"...there is safety in having many advisers." Proverbs 11:14

3. Through God's audible voice

Moses, Isaiah, Paul and John all heard God's voice.

4. Through internal prods

"...the Holy Spirit will teach you all things..." John 14:26

Jesus died for homosexuals just like He died for me. Christians should love homosexuals, just as God loves them. However, homosexuality is considered sinful by God. The Bible clearly states that God has made a natural order for relationships (one man and one woman for life). To live contrary to this is sin.

"God gave them over to their shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Romans 1:26

There is much debate over this topic. We believe a person who has truly turned from their sin and accepted the forgiveness of God has secure salvation. We also believe a person can exchange that truth and rebel against God's ways. The best advice would be, "...continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling..." Philippians 2:12

If concerned, ask yourself these questions:

1. "Am I really a Christian or just trying to stay out of hell?"
It's about a relationship with a person, not a prayer.

2. "Am I trying to earn my salvation?"
You can't earn it. Jesus' work on the cross is enough.

3. "Is there a difference between my lifestyle and the lost?"
Christian means Christ-like. There should be a distinct difference (light vs. dark). Many have a head knowledge but no heart knowledge.
Not everyone who says to Jesus, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 7:21

We live in a perverse world. Everything from music to movies draws our attention from sexual purity. David asked the same question many years ago: "How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to God's word." Psalm 119:9 So what does the Bible say? Above all else, guard your heart… Proverbs 4:23 You guard your heart by guarding your senses:

Guard what you see
"I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young [person]." Job 31:1

Guard what you touch
"Run away from anything that stimulates youthful lust." 2 Timothy 2:22

Guard what you hear
"...put perverse lips far from you." Proverbs 4:24

Whether dating or not, here are some rules to live by:

1. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever... ever be alone!

2. If you wouldn't do it in front of your mom, don't do it!

3. No texting/chatting after 10 PM.

4. Be a good friend. Don't gossip. Don't flirt. Remember...they are your spiritual brother or sister.

The Bible never says, “Don't say the ‘F’ word, it’s wrong.” That's true. And not true.

"Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth." Ephesians 4:29

"Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you." Ephesians 5:4
